DDZ Marine Ltd is based at Largs Yacht Haven which is situated some 30 miles south of Glasgow
on the South West Coast of Ayrshire.
The Company was founded in 1983 by Managing Director, Dino D. Zavaroni and has grown considerably over the years. In 1989 it became a Limited company with Duncan MacPherson, a friend and business partner coming onboard. Since then the company has continued to grow and diversify to meet our customers’ demand.
DDZ Marine Ltd has grown from, in the early days being housed in a ‘Port-a-cabin’ until in 2001, building their own purpose built 1500 Sq. Ft . Yacht Repair Facility which can house boats of up to 70’ and of 50 tons undercover to carry out all types of repair and service work.
It also houses our Sales office where you can view a variety of products
including outboard engines, electrical and electronic equipment etc. The Sales
office also offers the facility of an operational chart-table.
DDZ Marine presently has a total of 14 employees who can professionally
cover all aspects of the Marine Leisure Industry.
The Departments are divided into distinct disciplines within the industry.

Each Department has its own individual Stores and Workshops within our purpose built premises.

As part of our continued growth, DDZ Marine now hold dealerships for all major manufacturers of Electronics, Electrical, Inboard and Outboard Engines, Gearboxes and also Central Heating Systems within the Marine Trade.

We can offer fully fitted central heating either hot air or wet systems for boats from 20 ft. up to 200 ft. and in conjunction with our Heating branch we also run an engineering department namely DDZ Engineering. This department employs 2 full-time engineers who carry out the repair and installation of heating systems in commercial vehicles, ambulances and Council utility vehicles.

In 2003 we were awarded the prestigious Scottish & Northern Ireland Distributorship for ETAP Unsinkable Yachts. These yachts range in size from 21’ – 46’, with the ETAP 37S having been awarded in the USA, the accolade of ‘Boat of the Year Award 2004’ for best production cruising boat. This is the third time in the last four years that ETAP have been given such an award and DDZ Marine are proud to be the Agent for such high quality yachts.

We have for some time held the Scottish distributorship for Raider Fast Fishing/Sports boats and over the last twelve months achieved Avon RIB Centre status again to which we are notably proud of.
